Cire Trudon

Known simply as the best candles in the world, smell the secret aromas of Cire Trudon candles which could fill your home.

Established in 1643 by Claude Trudon, Cire Trudon is the most famous wax producing factory in France.  As the provider of Louis XVI’s French royal court, they also still supply the most glorious cathedrals and churches all over France.  Each candle is made with the time-honoured traditional methods created over three centuries ago.

A wax paste made out of vegetal substances, a unique mixture, miscible with any fragrance and allowing a prefect and long-lasting combustion. Candlewicks are weaved with pure cotton.  Cire Trudon offers paraffin-free candles, totally devoid of any secondary mineral derived from petrochemistry.  The candles contain none of the substances listed by OSPAR referred to by Greenpeace. No heavy metal, allergen, nor any pesticide enters the ingredient list.  Biodegradable, the candles respect the environment.  Natural and pure, the Trudon vegetal candles burn 70 hours.  Their glass remains pure of burning marks usually left by mixtures made with paraffin.  Each candle glass has been shaped and hand-blown by artisans from Vinci in Italy - no two glasses are identical.  These precious, skilfully puffed glasses shelter and spread the exclusive scents of Maison de Cire Trudon.  Sporting embossed golden letters, the gold label adorning our candles is produced exclusively for Cire Trudon by the oldest champagne label maker in France.

Sensual and exotic, the aromas of Cire Trudon are subtle mixes that evoke passion and uplift the soul.  There are a dozen beautiful vibrant scents to choose from – each with its own story inspired from historical events.
