Known simply as the best candles in the world, smell the secret aromas of Cire Trudon candles which could fill your home.
Established in 1643 by Claude Trudon, Cire Trudon is the most famous wax producing factory in France. As the provider of Louis XVI’s French royal court, they also still supply the most glorious cathedrals and churches all over France. Each candle is made with the time-honoured traditional methods created over more than three centuries ago.
Cire Trudon owns a manufacturing secret - a unique wax paste made with the oils of palm, soy, rice and copra. This vegetal paste is paraffin-free, which enables the finest quality fragrances to be readily mixed with the wax and allows perfect and lasting combustion. The wicks are woven from pure cotton. Natural and pure, the Cire Trudon candle burns for 55 to 65 hours, and burns perfectly. The candle does not emit black smoke and carbon. The internal glass remains perfectly clear of the burning marks usually left by mixtures made with paraffin. Each candle glass has been shaped and hand-blown by artisans from Vinci in Italy - no two glasses are identical. These precious, skilfully puffed glasses shelter and spread the exclusive scents of Maison de Cire Trudon. Sporting embossed golden letters, the gold label adorning our candles is produced exclusively for Cire Trudon by the oldest champagne label maker in France.
Sensual and exotic, the scents of Cire Trudon are subtle mixes that evoke passion and uplift the soul. There are a dozen beautiful vibrant scents to choose from, each with its own story inspired from historical events.
